2018 A. et P. de Villaine Aligote Bouzeron (France, Burgundy, Cote Chalonnaise, Bouzeron) $38
Aubert de Villaine deserves the accolades he receives. He is a reluctant hero, an unlikely trait in a man of such accomplishment, intellect, and inherent sense of noblesse. Heir to one of the most enviable wine legacies of all time, Domaine de la Romanee-Conti.
-
In the 1970s, Aubert and his wife, Pamela, sought less pedigreed pastures to call home. They finally settled in the village of Bouzeron.
-
This wine, 100% Aligote, has a beautiful richness and a firm backbone. White flowers, crushed rock, citrus zest on the nose with gorgeous white fruit and precise, detailed texture which helps balance the richness. A lot of complexity at this price and always one of the great bargains in white Burgundy.

2017 Domaine Giroux Pouilly-Loche Clos des Rocs (France, Burgundy, Maconnais, Pouilly-Loche) $42
You may be wondering why you haven’t previously heard about Pouilly-Loche, for which you can hardly be blamed-it is the smallest appellation in the Maconnais-but it does produce some of the best Chardonnay in the region.
-
Aromas of bright apple blossom and nectar, sweeping hints of the limestone soils with notes of minerality akin to Chablis and beautiful citrus with a glorious finish. This is as luxurious and regal as it gets!

2019 Domaine du Bagnol Cassis (France, Provence, Cassis) $24
Is seafood on your menu? This wine is brilliant paired with a vast range of items from grilled prawns, Dover sole, bouillabaisse, but also drinks well with pork dishes, or as an aperitif.
-
A blend of Marsanne (51%), Clairette Blanc (31%) and Ugni Blanc (18%). Simply put: We Love This Wines.

2018 Domaine Pierre Guillemot Savigny-les-Beaune 1er Cru Les Serpentieres (France, Burgundy, Cote de Beaune, Savigny-les-Beaune 1er Cru) $58
The Serpentieres is arguably the quintessential Guillemot cuvee. A brilliant work of art; notes of smoky cherries, raspberries, rose petals, orange rind and warm spices. Lively and layered with a elegant perfumed finish. This generous, seductive rouge has a long life ahead. Open it now or in three decades.

2018 Regis Bouvier Bourgogne En Montre Cul (France, Burgundy) $32
This one is loaded with brambly black fruit, bright and lively balance, and finishes firmly with a dusting of chalky tannins. A bottle of Burgundy with a sense of place, and a sense of humor.

2016 Domaine Verret Irancy (France, Burgundy, Irancy) $28
Think Burgundy wine prices are getting too high? Here's a well made red wine from Burgundy that will be kind to your palate and to your wallet.
-
From the village of Irancy in the northwestern corner of Burgundy, comes this wine made of 95% Pinot Noir and 5% Cesar. The wine has a beautiful deep garnet color with an intense and elegant nose of red fruits with floral, woody and spicy nuances, and a round and powerful mid-palate with velvety tannins. Everyday Burgundy!

2017 La Cantina di Cunéaz Nadir Pinot Noir “Grandgosier” (Italy, Valle d'Aosta) $30
Here's a Pinot Noir that's as intriguing as it is different from the previous three Pinot Noirs.
This is pure, taunt, elegant rustic red berry fruit, with notes of underbrush Pinot Noir. Different than Pinot from France but altogether mesmerizing. A unique expression that evokes beautiful melodies at midnight.

2018 Francesco Brigatti Uva Rara (Italy, Piedmont, Northern Piedmont, Colline Novaresi) $24
Uva Rara is a black-skinned grape found in northern Piedmont. It's name translates as 'rare grape'. A hard wine to find. But we think we've found the best.
-
Mild crimson in color with hints of young strawberry, wild cherry and fantastic lively acidity. This is a stellar example of the diversity of Italian wines. Cool this a bit then enjoy. A good complement to cured meats and roast chicken.

2018 Domaine de la Mordoree La Dame Rousse (France, Rhone, Southern Rhone, Lirac) $28
This is a silky blend of Grenache, Syrah and Carignan from one of our favorite Southern Rhone producers. Expressive and structured with a spicy mix of red and black fruit, peppery intrigue, aromas of incense and yes, this one is hard to resist.

2017 Domaine des Lises St. Joseph (France, Rhone, Northern Rhone, St. Joseph) $48.50
and the finale:
-
This is a sexy Syrah with beautiful berry fruit, exotic pepper, inviting herbs, with juicy acidity and a lively finish.
Classic Northern Rhone Syrah
