Each release of PN, developed as a series to bring Bollinger’s unique vision of Pinot Noir to light, will showcase a different cru from the base year that highlights its distinctive terroir and taste. The first edition of the series, PN VZ15, explores the interpretation of Pinot Noir from Verzenay 2015 and features reserve wines dating back to 2009. The wine itself is stunning & fabulous. One of Italy's monumental white wines. A blend of 81% Sauvignon Blanc, 10% Vermentino, 6% Viogner and 3% Verdicchio. The wine has a bright straw yellow color, the nose carries outstanding citrus notes accompanied by hints of white flowers. The follow through has an excellent balance between freshness and persistence, with beautiful orchard fruit and a long, lively, mineral finish.

2016 Federico Curtaz Etna Bianco 'Gamma' (Italy, Sicily, Etna DOC) $44
After collaborating with Angelo Gaja as an agronomist for over a decade, in 2015 Federico decided to start his own project in Sicily. This parcel of Carricante comes from the eastern slopes of Mt. Etna, near Milo. Fermented and aged in stainless steel. With its notable balance of texture and acidity, there is lots to like here. Lemon and pear, intense minerality, both delicious and serious, and the #1 pick from NY Times in their Etna Bianco tasting last year.
