The Pack Is Back:
With temperatures soaring past 90F
there's nothing like a cold, refreshing glass of wine to cool you off.
We've selected these six that do the job quite well.
-
We begin with one of our favorite Roses of the year: Clos Cibonne Rose from Provence. A rare wine made from the scarce Tibouren grape. This one has notes of orange peel, tangerine, sage and minerals, with peach, blood orange, garrigue and a whisper of minerality on the palate. Throw in a long and savory finish and you have the makings of one great afternoon.
-
Our second Rose is from Corsica from Domaine Alzipratu. A shinning example of Rose from the Sciacarellu grape. Beautifully elegant with enticing notes of citrus, tangerine, blood orange with a thoroughly beguiling finish.
-
Our final Rose in this six-pack is from Minuty. We call this one 'Rose Water', it's that drinkable! You'll be halfway through your second bottle before you know it!.
-
Our first white wine is a seducer from Greece. Inomessiniaki (the winery) has created a gorgeously aromatic white from the Moschofilero varietal. This one is perfect for lazy weekends outdoors.
-
Our fifth wine, from Kermit Lynch, is a lean, minerally Chablis from Francine & Olivier Savary. A textbook Chablis: crisp, racy, and mouth-watering, evoking aromas of white flowers, citrus, and crushed seashells. Yes please!
-
Our final wine is a Jacquere from Domaine Jean Vullien in the Savoie region of France. A wine that is reminiscent of a tranquil meadow in the French alps.
-
The refreshing six are on sale for $128 (reg 145) through the weekend.
Enjoy and stay cool.
